Amboseli National Park

Amboseli National Park is one of the best wildlife-viewing destinations in the world with 400 species of birds including water birds like pelicans, kingfishers, crakes, hamerkop and 47 raptor species. It is an Important Bird Area (IBA) and hosts endangered species such as Malagasy pond heron.

Situated toward the south and south-east, Amboseli boasts magnificent views of mighty Mount Kilimanjaro, which lies on the other side of the border. The park is known for its great elephant herds and the guides are experts at teaching their guests about these animals' complex social interactions.
